Takedown Twenty by Janet Evanovich
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
First, I am a fan of Janet Evanovich. Now, with that being said....I liked the book, but she has wrote better. Takedown Twenty didn't have the same feeling as the other books. Something seemed off. I liked the story line, but was drastically let down by the ending. I feel like the book just abruptly ended without closer.
Usually her main character experiences more "trouble" that what she did in this book. I kept waiting for something else to happen and it never did. I know, for those who have read it may be asking "What do you mean no closer?"
Minor Spoiler Alert Yes, Stephanie Plum did decide to continue her job, but was there really any doubt that she wouldn't?
There were also gaps in the story. I understand at one point yes, you say something and start the next chapter. Minor Spoiler Alert I was thinking she was accidentally going to cook Rex. I assumed he was okay because he was mentioned later. That was just one example. There were a few more.
I must give her credit though. I know it can NOT be easy to write that many stories. She is very talented, I love her work, and I will continue to read her work. I just hope she continues The Plum Series writing until Stephanie Plum makes a decision regarding the men in her life.
